The view from windows always interests me. I love the paintings of Matisse that are painted from the interior of a room and show what he saw through a window or door.
In New York City or any crowded and heavily populated area, you have to find your beauty where you can. I painted the windows in our studio apartment which overlook the top of a garage. I enjoy seeing flowers and a green teapot in the window. You and your children can paint windows with tempera and easily wash it off or change it with the season. I think of it as “paint lace.”
I also like to look into windows of shops. A whole world of things! Out of, and into.
