Ah, a parrot! Or is it? Vivid, alive, the Redbird shimmers with color. David Attenborough, the English naturalist who has produced and narrated so many nature programs on television, has a particularly wonderful segment about birds. Their behavior, while courting, can be unbelievably comical, with a male strutting and blowing up what looks like purple bubble gum from his chest. But this redbird is not showing courting colors; she is ready to fly.
